A $10,000 grant has enabled the district to hire DEI consultants Val Brown, and Rebekah Cordova, from Teaching Tolerance to train administration and Equity Warriors. The Lawrence Township Education Foundation (LTEF) has been instrumental in their commitment to supporting LTPS in advancing their Diversity, Equity and Inclusion efforts. LTPS endeavors to hold an intentional conversation about the implications of systemic racism, develop a plan to combat its evils, and subsequently, take a leadership role in the collective actions of our community to move Lawrence Township toward real healing. “LTPS denounces racism and injustice and is committed to fighting against the damage caused by hate in all forms. The unrest in our community calls on LTPS to help the community understand and define the issues we face and educate the community on ways we can work together to combat them.
